トロント・ピアソン国際空港は現在、ターミナル1とターミナル3の2つのターミナルが使用されており、ベスト・スポッティング・ホテルのひとつが今回ご紹介するシェラトン・ゲートウェイ・ホテルです。このホテルは、ターミナル3に繋がっており、ランプ内とアクティブな滑走路を見渡すことが可能です。客室の予約をする場合は、「Runway View」を指定することを忘れないでください。離発着する多くの航空機は滑走路を行き来する際、ターミナル3の前の誘導路を利用しますので航空機の撮影が可能です。 ガラス越しの撮影は「完璧」ではありませんが、天候に左右されず一日中退屈することもなく過ごすことができるホテルです。

また、客室料金は少々高くなりますが、クラブラウンジを利用できる客室を予約すると、スターバックスコーヒーをはじめソフトドリンクや軽食など24時間自由にアクセスでき、ホテルの外に出ることもなくスポッティングに集中できるのでお薦めです。トロント市内に出かける場合は、空港からの列車(UP Express)に乗車すればトロントユニオン（Union）駅まで25分でアクセスが可能です。

Sheraton Gateway Hotel Toronto International Airport

Toronto Pearson International Airport currently uses two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and one of the best spotting hotels is the Sheraton Gateway Hotel presented here. The hotel is connected to Terminal 3 and overlooks the ramp and active runways. When booking a room, remember to specify 'Runway View'. Many aircraft taking off and landing use the taxiway in front of Terminal 3 when coming and going on the runway, making it possible to photograph aircraft. Although photography through glass is not 'perfect', the hotel is a great place to spend the day in all weather conditions and without boredom.

It is also recommended to book a room with access to the Club Lounge, although the room rate is a little higher, as it gives you 24-hour unrestricted access to Starbucks coffee, soft drinks and snacks, and allows you to concentrate on spotting without having to leave the hotel. If you want to go into Toronto, you can take a train (UP Express) from the airport to Toronto Union Station in 25 minutes.
